Unable to boot the system and log in. boot_s up to the Press control alt delete screen in Windows 7 but not able to move the mouse or press control alt delete. Only thing I can do it shut down the laptop with the power button.

I downloaded and ran the Bitdefender Rescue disk and that is how I found Gen.variant.kazy.61411 and 63724 as well as Gen.Variant.Barys.32.

After rebooting again I get the same results where it boot_s to the press control alt delete to log in.

Hello smile.gif

Welcome to the forums.

Could you please rescan one more time the system with the Rescue CD?

Let me know if our product finds anything there.

Take care.

Scanned again and found nothing. I was able to use an external mouse and keyboard so I can get in to launch a full on attack.

Hello smile.gif

That's great! Now please run a startup repair using the Windows DVD.

http://windows.micro.../startup-repair

Let me know if you are able to properly enter Windows after this.

Take care.

Stated that it didn't find anything wrong but still does not allow keyboard and touchpad use. Checked the device manager and found several corrupt drivers. Going to use migwiz and reinstall windows from scratch.

Thanks for your help.
