Hi,
Please open a terminal, log in as root and try to open the BitDefender GUI :

# /opt/BitDefender-scanner/bin/bdgui

If the GUI is not opening, run the next command:

# ps waux | grep bdgui

to make sure that the scanner is running in background.

If the scanner is running , all you have to do is to modify the BitDefender config file from /root/.config/BitDefender-scanner/bdscan.conf (or from /home/user/.config/BitDefender-scanner/bdscan.conf if bdgui was opened by an normal user) and modify the next value:

GUIStartHidden = no

After you restart BitDefender, the GUI will appear.

I await your post.

Regards,

Andi
