  1. Hi CCSS, welcome to Bitdefender forum. Make sure your network type is set to trusted: Bitdefender Firewall > Network Details > Network Type "Trusted" Alternatively you should try to make a new rule for remote desktop connection with desired port. Cheers!
  2. Hello Utterly Disillusioned When your PC is not connected to the internet there is no way for anyone to gain remote access to your PC. If you are not planning to connect to your PC from remote location my advice is to turn off Incoming Remote Desktop Connections. Cheers!
  3. Hi UtterlyDisilusioned, short answer to your question about wiping/locking PC is NO. For your specific needs, I would recommend using some kind of combo of good AV engine, like i.e. Bitdefender, and some light-weight but effective anti-malware protection. Cheers!
  4. Hi Clannad, welcome to Bitdefender forum. You can find some useful information on similiar topic previously discussed here: Also you could check this nice little walkthrough: And if problem persists, I suggest running a repair of bitdefender. Cheers!
  5. Hello mikesd, Have you tried disabling it in safe mode? After you boot into safe mode run msconfig.exe, go to services tab, and than try to disable desired component. Also you can try with services...
  6. Hi Hmax, I completely agree with Sorin, disabling your protection is not the best idea. Instead add an exception for desired game in Bitdefender firewall rules. If you are not sure how, you can follow this guide: If it`s a steam game you should add a rule for steam luncher, and game separately...same with origin games etc. Cheers!
  7. Hi Skoon, Since repairing Bitdefender didn`t help you i recommend contacting support center via verify your account with them and they will help you to resolve your problem. BTW have you tried uninstalling Bitdefender with BD uninstall tool? Cheers!
  8. Hello doug main, What version of Bitdefender are you using? Perhaps I misunderstood you but do you want to say that Bitdefender is deleting your logs or you want to delete them and you cant ?!?!?
  9. Hello codyk, So have you installed it on clean install and than upgraded to anniversary, or you have not had BD installed before the anniversary upgrade? Maybe you could try uninstalling BD with their uninstall tool, and than install fresh version... You can find useful information on this link: Also, I recommend upgrading to Bitdefender Total Security 2017. Cheers!
  10. Hello NAVIN A, That is interesting problem.. Have you tried to disable bitdefender autopilot feature ?
  11. If solution provided by Tornado25 doesn`t work, you can try to repair Bitdefender. Press Win key + R, type "appwiz.cpl", locate Bitdefender right click on it and choose Uninstall. After the wizard pops up click on repair button. Cheers!
  12. HI, Have you tried to add an exception in BD for Origin game launcher/games... more or less everything origin related ? Which version of Bitdefender are you using?
  13. Hello CREAM. The way I understand it is that custom local address is your PC`s IP, and Custom remote address is your Public IP, but don`t take me for granted. Also you can find quick walkthrough on how to open ports in bitdefender firewall on this link: Hope you find it helpful. Cheers!
  14. Hi, Each user account folder also contains an "AppData" folder, which is considered a "system" folder. You should try to add the top level data folders for each user to the ransomware protection module. Then just make sure that user's personal files are all in subfolders of the those primary user account data folders.
  15. Hello archie400. I think you should try enabling Generci Mode. Also 2017 should have better compitability with windows 10 so i advise you to update to BD2017. Cheers!
