  1. What is the point of this sub-forum then? For us to pop in every time an update hits and tell each other "NEW UPDATE! Wonder what it does"? Every other version with an "Update" sub-forum always had the company give updates to what was done through an update. The fact they have this forum here would lead one to believe the tradition would carry on, but no. It's been a ghost town here as far as official posts are concerned. So what's the point of this being here? For us to come in and complain about the latest update with no notes?
  2. There is one thing keeping me from completely switching over to Bitdefender. The ability to block callers on the mobile app. Right now, I have active subs to Norton and Bitdefender, but only because Norton has a call blocker on their mobile app. Please consider adding this to your mobile protection and you'd have a customer for life!
  3. Out of curiosity, did any of you open a support ticket for the issues you're having? Besides those of you that mentioned you did, of course. Whenever I've had a problem, a support ticket has gotten me a response in usually a day. I had a very good experience with live chat support this morning as a matter of fact, and waiting about a minute for a support person to chat with me about my issue, which they resolved very quickly.
  4. So, where do we stand on this, BD? This is a serious sticking point for me to renew. I have a sub to Norton and you, currently went back to Norton until the day comes that you finally get this straightened out. The game profile shouldn't activate unless you're actually playing a game. You said it was fixed. It's not. This has been going on since release of the 2015 product. The track record of you fixing issues leads me to believe that maybe this will be fixed in the 2016-7 versions and not before. I doubt I will be renewing my subscription with you.
  5. It's broken and hasn't been acknowledged. It's been this way since release. In fact, the whole profile thing is a buggy mess. It thinks certain things, like the Steam app are games and puts BD in to game mode.
  6. You don't have to "Buy" anything. It's free. http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enh...s/EasyBCD.shtml Here ya go.
  7. How is that happening? It only pops up when you first start your PC for like 2 seconds after BD finishes loading. Are you starting programs before BD even has a chance to start its services?
  8. I'm wondering why Real time optimization unchecks itself after a time. I check it to ON, then when looking at the settings a little while later, it's unchecked. This keeps happening. Does this have anything to do with Autopilot? Could that be turning it off? And also again, reporting the Steam app and Game mode issue like others, and also reported in Beta. Would be nice if that got squared away. Other than that, it seems to work fine. This is the release version, not beta. of IS.
  9. You configure PC's for clients, yet you don't have a USB stick with AV installers or utilities on it? I carry around 2 sticks on my keychain, one for work stuff, another is my AV battle chest which has installers for most AV solutions, Malwarebytes and Hitman Pro. You might want to do something similar to avoid those situations in the future.
  10. I'll add to this and say that the profiles need some work. BD 2015 shouldn't be kicking in to game mode when the Steam app is started, But only when an actual game is running. I know it's still beta, but I thought I'd mention it.
  11. Most likely consolidating signatures into class groups. In other words, one signature may detect 100+ variants of one type of virus, so all variants get consolidated in to one signature.
  12. Main window, look at the Anti Virus tab, turn off the "Idle Scan" there. Now it won't auto-scan.
  13. Hi Christian. Try running the un-install tool for your version from here: http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/...sumer_paid.html Re-boot when it asks, then install again and see if that clears it up.
  14. On my Win 7 64b, VSSERV is sitting at 194,386 as I type this. A few patches ago, BIS sat comfortably at around 20 or so megs total for both vsserv and bdagent combined. So, something happened and it needs to be addressed.
  15. Last reply from official reps was Apr 14 2014, 05:57 AM It's June 12th here now. No progress? No communication? Nothing. I want so bad to love you, but YOU WON'T LET ME! You're killing me over here. 194mb at idle. It's doing nothing but running at idle and you're taking almost 200mb of memory to sit and do nothing. That's crazy. You are now the highest memory hog of any security solution. Congratulations. Let's see that on the "Awards" section. Yeah, I'm upset. Fix it.
