I have been using IS2009 for a few months now and overall I am very pleased with it.

But, I have now got a large number of cookie and script rules. Not a problem in itself, but as an occasional act of 'housekeeping' I would like to delete all of these and re-apply permissions for websites again from scratch.

Under the Scripts and Cookies tabs I can highlight a whole heap of individual rules but when I go to delete them, BD will only delete ONE. I know I can go through and delete each rule one at a time but this would take forever.

Is there any way to delete them all in one hit?

Hmmm... I am guessing they hide inside a MYSQL lite db.

Time to get a reader / editor and start digging around...

I don't work for BitDefender. The problem is you can't delete many entries yet when you are in BitDefender.

This is what you need to do I only know the instructions for windows xp (so it could be have a different name in vista): click on start,my computer,double click on the icon of your hard disk or partion where you have installed BitDefender on. Open documents and settings, go to to the tools menu,folder options, press on the display/view tab select the option show hidden files and folders press on apply and ok. Now open the folder with your windows user name normally you should find a folder called application data open that after that open BitDefender,desktop,profiles. You should find 2 xml files you need to open and edit cookies and script. Save the changes by going to file,save in your browser. It could be that you can't edit that is because BitDefender selfprotection. To solve that reboot your pc into safe mode. To do that just reboot your pc but keep pressing on the F8 button before the splash screen select safe mode press enter to select. Log in with your account and try now to do the changes.

But if you want to change the list of programs listed by registry control you need to edit the file called bpfrr.xml which should be located here Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2009\bpfrr.xml for firewall you need to open the firewall subfolder and open def_template.xml , pcrules.xml for parental control.
