Hello BD09-Users, Hello Support & Developer,

I have the following problem after Update my BD08IS to BD09IS.

But first, details for my update-process:
* download BD09Is from bitdefender.com
* unistall BD08IS over Start->Setting->Control->Software
* reboot
* started uninstall-tool from www.bitdefender.com/uninstall to cleanup my computer completly.
* reboot
* install the BD09, by launch bitdefender_internetsecurity_2009_32b.exe
* reboot

My System-Information:
* Windows XP SP2a
* Intel Pentium 4 HT 3GHz, 1,5GB RAM, 50GB free HDD

After my update-process, the systray-icon from Bitdefender was permanently not shown. My windows setting is configure so, that none inactive icon will be hidden. Always all icons will be shown.

Under BD08IS I know not that problem. The problem is first effected, after update to BD09.

What has I do, for fixing my problem???
* repair install of BD09 -->> no solution
* uninstall, cleaning with uninstall-tool, and re-install of BD09IS -->> no solution
* uninstall, cleanng and install the old version BD08 --> icon is presend in systray !!! rolleyes.gif --> uninstall BD08, install BD09 --> Icon is hidden angry.gif
* deleting my temp-dir and prefetch-folder from \windows -->> no solution wacko.gif
* restart, restart, restart ... sad.gif -->> no solution dry.gif

Uninstall Your BD.Remove Any Traces From Registry Of BD.Go To C:\Program Files\Common files & Delete Any BD Folder.Go To C:\Program Files & Delete BD Folder.If You Have Installed BD To Some Other Drive Like D:\ Or E:\ Drive Then Remove Any BD Folder From There Also.Disable Any Other Anti-Virus ie Do Not Let It To Start At System Start Up.Check That Workstation Service Is Set To Automatic Start If Not Make It To Start Like That.Install BD & Reboot/Restart The System.Click From Tray Icon To Open BD Do Not Click On To The Desktop Icon.Make Necessary Settings For BD.Also Check That All Options Are Working Except The Scan Activity Bar Which Won't Work As It Is A Known Issue With BD & BD Tech Guys Knows About It.Update BD & Restart The System & Check Again That Every Settings Are Working.If EveryThing Is Working Fine then The Chances Are That It Won't Give Any Trouble.
After This Do Not Use Any Registry Cleaner Use Registry Fixers.
I Hope This Should Solve Your Problem.
