A few weeks ago I accidentally deleted the Program Files and Program Data folders for BitDefender. The product still works fine somehow, but I cannot uninstall it. Whenever I try, it waits a very long time and then windows tells me that it cannot uninstall.
Is there any other way of uninstalling?

I think that you can uninstall BitDefender with this tool:

After you can re-install BitDefender without problem

You may try Add/Remove 4Good, which can easily uninstall any stubborn applications. I've tried this powerful software. It works pretty fine on XP.
why not install bit defender again & then uninstalling it using ADD/remove prog
