Greets!
Every time I make some change to my network connection settings (or as was the case today, after I reboot) my firewall profile renames itself to something like "Default untrusted 247" and all of my program permissions disappear and I have to start over (the Traffic tab is just a blank page). I make regular backups of my BitDefender settings, and trying to restore those settings when this problem occurs doesn't work. All of the settings are restored except for the program permissions.
I've tried renaming the new profile to match my old one, hoping it would then revert back to the other settings, but that doesn't work at all.
When I check my BitDefender directory my old profile XML files are still there, and they all contain the data they are supposed to (that is, the program permissions I would expect to find).
Strangely, sometimes when this occurs BitDefender remembers some of my program permissions from the old profile, and allows/denies internet access to these programs accordingly. Other programs that I'd already defined permissions for will cause BitDefender to alert me when they attempt to go online. So, some programs are remembered, and others aren't, but none of them show up in the Traffic tab except newly created ones (i.e. ones created after the problem has occurred).
The only way I've been able to get around this problem is by completely uninstalling the software, including the use of the uninstall tool, and then reinstalling, and then loading in my backed up settings. But this is obviously a lot of unnecessary effort to correct something so small. Is there a simpler way to get around this problem?
Thanks!
