Yo!

A BIT FAT NOTE: I already have ESET NOD32 installed on this computer. After hearing that BitDefender had found a trojan on a site which ESET didn't even notice I quickly installed BitDefender trial version. Everything went smoothly yesterday until I came back today and booted up the computer. (I never rebooted when installing it)
Anyways, I boot up my computer and programs seems to load, then suddenly Explorer just stops to respond. And I try to start application manager then first my keyboard stops working, then the mouse locks up.
So I reboot try again, this time my keyboard is even locked up in startup screen.. Weird. So I reboot again, this time I can type again. So I login, only to get my comp locking up once again. So I reboot in fail safe mode, then I notice I can't uninstall BitDefender this way and I need to do a system recovery, so I do that.
Once recovered my computer works again like a clock.

I'm not sure what the issue is but BitDefender and ESET NOD32 don't work together. smile.gif You can add this to a FAQ or something wink.gif
Maybe it's an issue with the latest version of BitDefender, I have no idea. biggrin.gif

That is nothing new.
You can NEVER use two anti virus programs together

Elrinth, the BitDefender installer clearly says that you must uninstall any other security programs before proceeding. Did you bother to read it? Also, do you intend to install Norton on top of NOD32 and BitDefender if you hear that Norton detected a trojan that the other two programs missed? wink.gif

Hello Elrinth,

Try this press several times on the F8 button before the windows splash screen select safe mode press enter to load it. Log in with your account. Now press the windows button together with r now type services.msc now search for services that have BitDefender in the name double click on each of them and change the startup type to disabled press on apply and ok. Now press press the windows button together with r now type msconfig press enter. Reboot your pc now. Now follow these instructions to uninstall nod 32.. Now press the windows button together with r now type services.msc now double click on each service that has BitDefender in the name change the startup type to automatic for the following services:
BitDefender Communicator
BitDefender Desktop Update Service
BitDefender Virus Shield
The BitDefender Threat Scanner should be set on manual. Don't forget to press on apply to confirm it. After that left click on each BitDefender service and press on start.

Best regards
Niels

It's kind of ironic that you can use an unlimited amount of virus together smile.gif

Thanx for the help Niels... And yeah I won't install two together again. Didn't think it would bring so much problem smile.gif
