Hello,
I'm having some trouble using my Remote Desktop Connection with BD IS 2008. i had v10+ and it worked fine and can't figure it out on IS2008.
If my firewall is turned on then all it says is "Can't find computer", BD doesn't even give me a message that it's trying to connect. I tried making a rule on my incoming/outgoing traffic to allow the ip of the computer but it didn't work. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows what i can do to get it working.
Thanks
Niels

Hello tmlfan3,
Start BitDefender by right clicking on the red BitDefender icon near the system clock press on open advanced settings now navigate to the firewall section press on the advanced tab and uncheck stealth mode press on ok to save the changes.Go also to the zones tab and press on the add-button now select computer now enter the ip-address of the other computer. To obtain that information press the windows button together with r now type cmd press enter type ipconfig /all press enter. You will find it after ip-address trust it.
Please take a look at
this topic.
Best regards

Thanks but this didn't work. Sorry i forgot to mention that i am connecting to the network at work using Cisco VPN client. If i try to make a zone for the computer i get the error message saying that it is not on the local network. I tried doing it after i connected through VPN but still said it was not part of local network. Any ideas?
