Hello fabiowilly,

The only thing that you can do at this moment is creating a rule in outlook ,outlook express, ... that moves mails that have [SPAM] or [PHISING] in the subject to a folder of your choice. And unchecking the option to move it to deleted items. If you mean able to change the default location than the answer is no that isn't possible.

Best regards

Hello fabiowilly,

Sorry that I forgot to mention it that you must have pressed on the settings button on the BitDefender Antispam toolbar.Good to hear that it worked.

You are welcome.

Actually, there is a way to change it.

BitDefender doesn't actually "move" the e-mail anywhere. It just marks the e-mail with [SPAM] or [PHISHING]. Also, BitDefender creates an e-mail rule in Outlook to move the mails that have those words in the subject, in Trash.
So, basically, Outlook does all the actual moving (BitDefender just marks the mails).

To change the destination folder (for Outlook Express): go to Tools -> Message Rules -> Mail and, in the list of rules, you'll find a rule named BitDefender Antispam, with the description:
QUOTE
Apply this rule after the message arrives
Where the Subject line contains 'spam' or '[phishing]'
Delete it

All you have to do is to select that rule, click Edit and change the action from Delete it to Move to <folder>. That's what I did some time ago (when I used BitDefender Antispam) and it worked like a charm. (I created a special SPAM folder).

For Microsoft Outlook (the one which comes in the Office suite), the steps should be the same, but I don't know exactly where the Rules are located (I always used OE). The same applies to other e-mail clients.

P.S.: I stopped using BitDefender Antispam a while ago, because I switched to GMail, which is not supported by BD Antispam (just in case you wondered why I don't use it anymore). I would use it again, because it was very good... unfortunately, until BD will support non-standard ports for Antispam scanning, I won't be able to use it. sad.gif

P.S.(2): Sorry for the late reply wink.gif

Hello Cris,

When I click on the settings button of the BitDefender Antispam toolbar in Outlook there is an option move message to deleted items. So I would say that BitDefender exactly moves mails.

No, it doesn't.

That option says what it says so that is easier to understand what it does.

As I said, BitDefender moves the mails, but indirectly. It just creates a rule in Outlook.
Disabling that option in BD Antispam will just remove the Antispam rule (if I'm not mistaking), or edit it so it won't delete the mails.
BD only adds the keywords to the subject of the mails and creates the rules (based on user's options). Outlook does the rest. wink.gif
