Dear all,

Recently I bought 2 sets of BD 2008 Internet Security, it seems that bd has blocked the hub pc to ping the work group pc's and the work group pc's can't connect the network printer from the hub? Why? Please advice....

Bought: 2 sets BitDefender 2008 Internet Security for 3 users and 1 Year

Dear Joker John,

Right click on the red BitDefender icon near the system clock press on open advanced settings,go to the firewall section press on the zones tab see if the ip-address of the hub isn't untrusted. If it isn"t listed there press on the add button select computer and add the ip-address of the network printer select trusted press on ok.

Best regards

Thank you Niels,

but I have another questions, now im using static ip for my wireless networking (6pcs) but I want to change to DHCP... can the bitdefender firewall set a range of ip that can be trusted instead doing it manually?

As you know the ip will be change everytime the router starts or lost connections... please advice...

Thank you
Niels
Dear Joker John,

Normally at the first time you installed BitDefender firewall should have automatically created a rule for your network after what you selected. If you want to BitDefender firewall let to create rules on it own than you have to do this go to the traffic section press on reset profile (WARNING: you have to allow the programs again that need to be allowed to access the internet if you don't export the rules).

You can always trust your local network by going to the zone section and press on the add button select local network and select trusted press on ok. Normally this will prevent you that BitDefender firewall blocks your internet connection.
