I run winXP Pro with 1GB of ram. After I installed BDIS2008, startup takes longer than usually espeacially if I have the internet on whne I start up the computer, the computer would freeze up.

I can't seem to use Nero Express 6 to burn any disc. I could open up the software but when you start to burning process the system would freeze. Even if I disable all the AV, firewall and all the other services.

I uninstalled BDIS2008 with the uninstall tool and today I wasn't able to get on the internet until I did a system restore to before I had installed BDIS2008.

I wonder if there is something wrong with my system or the software? I would like to be able to use BDIS2008 since I brought it.

Before installing BDIS2008, I had already used the uninstall tool to remove BD10.

I have the same problem. I use BitDefender Antivirus 2008 Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 and after one of the last updates from BitDefender i'm not able to burn anymore. Disableing Bitdfender does not help. When i uninstall BitDefender everything works fine again. When i reinstall BitDefender it works untill it loads some updates...
OS is WinXP Prof. SP2

It never even occurred to me that BitDefender was the cause of my inability to burn a disc, but apparently it's a distinct possibility given the first two posts in this thread. I've tried using 4 or 5 different burning suites and all of them either hang, freeze, or fail to even launch; this all started recently. When these hangs occur, I can't end the process using the Task Manager (in XP Pro) nor can I reboot normally - I have to use the reset button. Also, when the burning software freezes, all of my other apps freeze too, and I can't end any tasks at this point. Very strange and very, very frustrating.

If BitDefender is responsible it'll be the weirdest conflict I've ever heard of haha. But if it is, hopefully it can be rectified soon smile.gif
