Hello Zaim,
IP addresses can be blocked by creating a rule in the Firewall for that IP, all protocols, all applications, both directions, and the action Block.
Alternatively, you can create a Zone, in the Zones tab, for the IPs you want to block, and choose Unsecure.

Below the
Application field is a checkbox named something like
Apply this rule for all applications. Selecting it will do what it's name says

The rules defined for all applications are not shown in the normal Traffic list.
To view the rule (and to change it), click Edit Profile. Be careful not to change the settings for rules that you don't know. It can cause unwanted behavior, including:
- network connection loss
- security vulnerability
- errors in system applications that require specific Firewall settings.

Greetings!
I’ve been using BD TS 2008 for a few months now and, aside for a few hiccups;( caused by Vista), I’ve had an easy time with it, congratulations are in order for you guys!
Still, yesterday I’ve got a few problems. I post both here because they may be related.
It all started when BD warned me of a portscan attempt to my workstation, BD blocked it and at the time I’ve not thought much about it other than write down the IP.
In the same day, after reboot I found that I couldn’t load Internet Explorer, except with no add-ons. (I had none installed other than BitDefender toolbar, at least that I noticed).Tried several times but in the end I was forced to reset the browser. The browser now works but, unfortunately, Bitdefender toolbar disappeared and the option is now greyed and I cannot load it back in IE. I would like to get it back, if possible.
I also ran a Deep System scan after this, but it accused noting.
Just in case, I would also like to block that IP and I’ve read the instructions here but, I must confess, don’t know how to implement them correctly.
In Zone I get “the specified address is not from a local network.” In both “computer” and “network” options.
And in the Traffic tab, when I select “advanced” I’m unsure what to select in “type.”
(Before that I selected apply to all applications, any protocol, deny action).
Any help would be of great value, thanks.

Hello adamastor,
At the Type, you have to select Host, and write the IP. Do this for both Inbound and Outbound.
