How privacy control works?I put part of my credit card number in but I was able to send an E-mail (hotmail) to mysef containing that string of numbers.

If I want to buy something online using Credit card ,that site will be blocked? I will get a warning?
Do I have to disabe privacy control before buying something online with my Visa?

Privacy control works only when your are trying to send an email from your email client and only when it's send trough smtp. Or when information that you want to keep safe is being send or when you enter it on a web form

The reason why BitDefender didn't react is because hotmail uses the https (secure) protocol while parental control only can scan http traffic. You can try it yourself the page will be blocked once you enter your credit card numbers on a normal web form. But you can make exceptions to which website that information might be sended.

Thank you for your answer; when the page will be blocked once I enter my credit card would be any message like" BitDefender blocked...".How I should know who blocked the page?

Dear claudiubotezatu,

You will see a message like this page has been blocked by BitDefender Privacy control. You can see it Because you will see BitDefender on the page that you wanted to reach also with the information that due a rule that you created you aren't allowed to see that web page.
