First plug in your external hard disc wait till it's being detected by windows where you store your images of your partitions then open BitDefender. By right clicking on the red BitDefender icon click on open advanced settings,click on the exceptions tab,now exclude your external hard disc by first pressing on the add button select choose a path not to be scanned press next,click on browse now select the drive letter of your external hard disc,press on add click on next press on finish. Now press again on apply.

Now mount your image in Acronis True Image or by right clicking on your image. Exclude the drive letter that Acronis gave to the new created virtual station by following my previous steps (for excluding a patch for BitDefender on access scanner. Now your computer will not freeze.
