Hello BD support,

Every now and then, the update module reports an update failure with error code 87.
What does this error code mean? I can't troubleshoot what I don't know smile.gif
Usually when I click "retry" (or "again", I have the Dutch version so I don't know what it is in English version), the update succeeds.
But this error is coming more frequently , so I want to get this properly fixed.

Hi smile.gif

Please follow the steps explained in the article below and send me via PM the generated log file:

http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=29927

If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on

http://www.sendspace.com

or

http://www.mediafire.com

and send me a PM with the download link.

If you were already asked to generate the log file, disregard the message above and just post the ticket ID.

Have a nice day.

PM with support tool logs sent. I still don't know what the error code means, can you also answer that?
It would be very helpful if the Help file would contain a list of all error codes and meanings. Or at least the BD support site.

Christian
Hello,

That is an error code that is returned when the connection to the servers is lost.
