Full Version: Antivirus 2008 Requires Reboot

We "upgraded" from V10 to 2008, and now Bitdefender seems to require a reboot after every update.

Is the update not installed until the reboot?

If so, this is unacceptable for our purposes. This runs on an unattended computer that can sit for days with the Reboot? dialog waiting for a response. We can turn the dialog off, but we won't know if Bitdefender is current ?!

What happened ? This is not progress. Even most Windows updates don't require a reboot anymore.

Can we down-grade to V10?

Dear KevinM,

The reason why that happens is only when there is an upgrade to a newer build. If you buy a boxed version that version can already being out of date. That is the reason why you have to reboot several times after the first installation. During normal updates you don't have to reboot your pc.

If your version 10 license isn't expired yet you can downgrade again.

Best regards
Niels
