i am a new user of BD. And i have bought BDAV2008 for its fame as world NO.1. But i encountered several problems!! Some are really confusing and terrible!

When I go on google to search sth, the system will crash! No response at all! When I uninstall BDAV2008, there will be no such thing!
When I log in hotmail, system will also crash!
And even when I go on some websites, system wll crash randomly! Most websites are ok but some will make a crash!
One time when I restart the machine, before i go into the desktop the screen will flash a bluescreen and at once the machine restart itself. Safe mode is also like this.

Some suggestions please?
Niels
Dear RedDust

Did you removed your previous antivirus? If your previous antivirus was Norton or Mcafee then you need to run a specific uninstall tool. Follow the instructions that are given in this topic.

Go to start, run, type eventvwr press enter. Take a look at the application and system logbook take a look at the error entries. Please post what errors that are reported on the time the problems occured.

You can disable auto rebooting by pressing several times on the F8 button before the windows loading screen choose then disable automatic reboot by system crash. Please note the error message and enter the file name that caused it you will find it in the bottom right corner it looks like this nvida.sys.

If you are using Internet Explorer right click on the IE icon load without add-ons.

Best regards

I have to say this: BitDefender Evangelists can't give any solution to the Vsserv Runtime Error because we do NOT know it.
We don't work for BitDefender. We are only volunteers on this forum, trying to help how we can (and reporting the problems to TechSupport). The only ones who CAN fix this is the BD Team. WE cannot.

@Red Dust: If, indeed, the problem you have is related to the vsserv Runtime Error, then please read THIS topic. A temporary solution you can find in Post#90, in the above thread. This is the most I can do, and sorry to hear that you also are experiencing this issue.

Cris.
