I have been using an evaluation copy of bitdefender Antivirus 2008. I like the program but I am having some problems.
I would like to uninstall it to see if the problems go away. Are there any issues in uninstalling it?

Here are the problems I am having.

I leave my computer on all the time. When I leave it and come back sometimes it is very sluggish if I do Alt Ctr Del and
end the bdagent.exe process then it corrects the slowness. I have also started having problems where programs can not
read/write to some files I will get an error saying the file is locked. The only way to correct it is to reboot. I am not sure
if bitdefender is causing this problem or not but would like to uninstall it and see if the problem goes away.

Dear Jeff T.

You better use the specific BitDefender uninstaller. That will remove more then the default uninstaller.

I recommend that you try what is written in this topic.

I would reccommend using a reg cleaner after the uninstall tool. My experience is that the tool leaves a lot of reg keys behind
