I installed Both Office 2002 and BitDefender 2008 on a new system with Vista as my OS. Every time I bring up Outlook, my email passwords are gone (yes, the "save password" radio button is checked). I came across a support article for MS Outlook (Aricle ID 290684) that suggests this problem could be due to my anti-virus software.

Has anyone run across this problem before? Also, is there a way to disable BitDefender just to test this theory without uninstalling the whole application?

Thanks in advance for any ideas!
Niels
Dear Merlin99

I don't have any problems with outlook 2003 (sp3). Normally these versions aren't that much different.
Did you already tried a repair installation of outlook? You can try this open BitDefender click on settings once you are in the BitDefender Security Center go to the antivirus section and place the slider on permissive. Uncheck also antispam protection also in BitDefender.

Best regards
Niels
