I do not know if my BitDefender Antivirus 2008 is the cause of this but I have many files accumulating in the Windows Temp folder.
They begin with httproxy_clt followed by a long series of numbers. I have to delete them every several days in order to keep their numbers down. Has anyone else experienced this? I am using Windows XP SP2.

Dear Warren

Yes these files are BitDefender related and are created during http traffic scanning. To solve that problem you have to remove them manually or disable http traffic scanning. I also asked that Softwin will make an option to delete the oldest entries. They said that they will consider it.

Best regards

Dear Warren

Glad that I could help you. You could also use some sort of cleaning software but I suppose that you that already knew.

Have also a nice day and week-end.
Best regards

I have http traffic scanning disabled and am still accumulating httproxy_clt files in my Windows Temp folder. Deleted over 8000 of them last night. I am running BitDefender Antivirus 2008 on Windows XP Pro (SP2).
