Surfing to www.bitdefender. com , I'm always redirected to the Dutch website, even when not asking for it.
Living in Belgium, and with Windows-XP Professional (English version) installed on my PC, I see no reason at all to be always redirected to a Dutch website !

At his Dutch website, in very small charachters youmight notice a link .... for the Belgian customers, (Flemish people speak Dutch).

OK, you click on this and you are redirected again to a "Belgian website" (in Dutch) from where it is better not to click on any link at all , other wise you might be redirected to a French webpage !!!

However , there is worse ... this is my issue :

Even when I'm lucky enough to remain surfing a little bit longer at the corporate website, and being able to download Bit-Defender-Security-2008 , this "newest" downloaded setup file starts to install ..... in DUTCH !

One would expect to have downloaded an English setup file from the corporate website !
But not so .... NO OPTION is shown during setup for choosing another language.

Around 1830 my ancesters managed to send the Dutch back home, but they always come back even if not invited. What can I do to get rid of this situation and to be able to install this product in English ?

Thank you for helping me out of this.

I made some research meanwhile
I think the problem causing unwanted redirection has probably been found.
Windows XP Pro has some option settings for preferences on language for surfing.

Internet Options > Tab General > Section Appearance > Languages

Here a new window opens where you can add or remove languages and arrange the priorities.
There was only one language in this window list : Dutch (Belgium) [nl-be]
which I never added there !

Adding English and putting it in the top position will probably retain the English website when surfing and probably avoid stop the automatic redirection to Dutch website.

But why "BitDefender_Internet_Security_2008" is setup file does not make any suggestion about installation in any other language , remains an open question.

I still have to test if installation is possible in English from preeviously downloaded setup file.
Otherwise I must download another installation file (again).
And test installation (again)

When you download BitDefender from the Dutch site, it will be in Dutch. The same happens when you download it from the Romanian site: it will be in Romanian. There is no need to put all languages in the same installation kit, because that will result in a huge kit.

If you just download the kit from the English site, then it will be in English. Plain and simple.
Also, you cannot change the language of an installation kit. You have to download another one.

Edit: You can always change the language site, whatever language your browser is set to look for. BitDefender site has a language select list in the upper-right corner of the page (near the Search function). From that list, if you need English, just select United States. See attached screenshot.

Thank you CRIS
Now the setup file was downloaded from the US website and it was an English installation.
I appreciate your explanation, because I was fooled by two facts :

1. Unless I'm wrong, the name of the downloaded file does not change, for whatever download.
I deleted the 2 previous Dutch setup files , before downloading the English one. So I could not compare. As far as I remember the filename is identical. Those file names certainly do NOT include any language code. (e.g. _EN , _NL, _RO) I was under the impression that there was only ONE product setup file per product.

2. Some older email from BitDefender Support was indicating that I could download the English version from the Dutch website, after I complained about the automatic redirection to the Dutch website (for which no explanation was given at that time). But it seemed not to be possible anyway to download an English version there.
