I would say yes. There are some new handy features which were not present in the previous version such as realtime dangerous website blocking by the BitDefender realtime protection. But it's up to you. There are other features also such as better removal,game mode (for less cpu and memory usage).

You can upgrade for free now if your current license is still valid. Otherwise you have to pay but you receive also a discount.

You see only a fraction who have problems not everybody that uses BitDefender 2008 are having problems.
I personnally don't have problems with BitDefender Internet Security 2008. But it's your choice when your license expires you have to use BD 2008.

You say that if we already own a prior version of BitDefender, that we can download the 2008 version for free?

I must say I have tried it and have not been able to enter my old key with success (I have v10 of Internet Security)

The wizard tells me that the key is for another product. Now, how I'm I supposed to have the software run at full feature capacity for the remaining of my 254 days if I c'ant register de product ?

Keep in mind that this is only a user forum where all moderators are just volunteers.

So long your license is valid you can upgrade. You can only use that key for BitDefender Internet Security 2008. Total security isn't possible because it's a new product. If you used the key for BD IS 2008 you have to contact customer care. Enter your question and select customer care.

Finally I have installed IS2008 (following the rules) and all seams OK for the moment ..
1 question when I read my account history I still have 155 days left for BD AV Plus V10 and I see that the IS2008 is evaluating???? and the key is different from the one for BD AP V10.
I cannot register my registration key...
I will not attach the screen copy because the Keys are visible.
Any recommendations?

Hello Emile,

This is not a problem. This situation appears because you are still using the BDv10 license. When you will buy a new license (for BD2008), it will appear correctly.

The license you see for BD2008 is the default trial one (all BD products come with a pre-activated 30 day trial license).

Don't get me wrong... BD2008 will not expire in 30 days, because you already registered it with the old license. You can use it like this until the license expires.
