Hi kalas,

When you removed BDv10 from your system, did you use the Uninstall Tool? You have to use that tool to completely remove the previous installation so you can make a 100% clean install of BDv11.

Try this solution, because it solved problems for many users.

Is not the same one as included in the menu/group BitDefender?

1.- I used the one on the menu, I did not download anything extra,
2.- Reboot the machine then proceed to the installation of BD 2008
3.- Reboot again it was fine
4.- another reboot, and all screwed up

Thanks
Cris

No, it's not the same. The Uninstall tool is a lot more aggressive and it will remove absolutely all traces of BD from your system.
When you use the normal uninstall (from Start menu or from Add/Remove software), some traces still remain (like registry keys). Those traces might conflict with other installations of BD or with other AV products that you install afterwards.

Do this:
  1. Use the Uninstall Tool to remove BD from your system
  2. Restart your PC
  3. Install BDv11
  4. Restart your PC
  5. Update BD
  6. Restart (if necessary)
