Full Version: Making Bitdefender Work With Asus Wifi-ap Solo

My System configuration is as follows:
* Motherboard: ASUS M2N32 SLI Deluxe (Wireless Edition)
* CPU: AMD X2 5200+
* RAM: 2 x 2GB Transcend DDR2 RAM
The motherboard comes with ASUS WiFi-AP Solo software, to share connection over the wireless (in station or access point mode).

I am trying to use this in access point mode with BitDefender Internet Security 2008. Though, it used to work before I installed BitDefender, I am not able to use this anymore. My laptop is not able to pickup any radio transmission. Is this because of the firewall? Any idea what could be wrong?

Let me know if I need to post any further information.

Cheers!

Hello Debjit

It could be that your wireless internet connection is placed at untrusted networks. Press on settings on the BitDefender Security Center,firewall,zones,double click on the entry and choose for adding it to the trusted networks. Make also a rule for your wireless access point software in the traffic section

Best regards
Niels
