I have my Desktop Computer set up as a server at home, and set up a wireless network via an access point. The desktop is connected to the Internet via a 3G modem. I have BitDefender Internet Security V10 installed on the Desktop.
Since installing the BitDefender, we cannot access the internet via the network any more from our notebooks! Used to work fine before I installed BitDefender.
Any help / suggestions to get this going again?

Hello Andrejvr
Open BitDefender Internet Security 10 go to firewall, advanced, check these options apply the same (generic) profile to all new networks and check also enable internet connection sharing support. Check also if that service is running: start, run, type services.msc press enter. Leftclick on the service and choose start.
You can also upgrade for free if your license is still valid to BitDefender Internet Security 2008.

Hi Niels,
I am not sure I understand the Start services part?
You say I must ensure that that service is started, but what is 'that service'? I am not clear on this.
Also, I have only 'Enable Internet connection sharing' ticked in the Firewall, Advanced screen! Where do I check for the generic profile to the other Network Connedtions?
Sorry, but I am unclear exactly what to do!
Hope you can help!

Hello Andrejvr
Go to start, make connection, show / display all connections, rightclick on your network connection choose properties, click on the advanced tab and check Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" and press ok. That is normally also available as option when you are in the advanced section of BitDefender firewall. You will find that as an option called apply the same (generic) profile to all new networks.

I am having the same problem as Andrejvr.
I have a 3G internet connection on my main PC, which is shared via ICS. After upgrading to Bitdefender Internet Security 2008, the other pc's cannot use the internet, they can share and see files on the main pc but NO internet. The only way I can get it to work is to untick "Bitdefender Firewall NDIS Filter Driver" in my network properties for my network card.
I have followed the steps in the above posts to try and fix it and nothing has helped (BTW Andrejvr - did u come right at all?) I have added the other pc's ip address as being trusted in the BD Firewall, made sure that "Enable ICS Support" is ticked under Advanced in BD.
Nothing seems to help. I have also emailed Bitdefender Technical Support, they gave me something to try and asked me to send them some log files, which I did, but have not heard anything since (been 2 weeks now)
This is a work PC and I really need it working, if I don't find a solution soon I am going to remove Bitdefender and install Panda or Norton rather (better tech support as far as I'm concerned)
