Hi,

I purchased BitDefender Total Security 2008 yesterday, but the backup module doesn't seem to work at all.

First, in the security center, it says Backup has not been configured yet. I click, and then I try to fix it but it doesn't react at all. Then I manually opened the backup utility by going to the installation folder, but it doesn't let me do anything: it says "unsupported operation attempted" or it simply fails to backup anything.

I am using Windows XP Pro SP2 on this computer, but I have tried it on another computer with Vista Home Premium, and it does the same thing on both. Am I missing something really important that needs to be done before being able to use that feature?

Thank you
Francis

What happens if you open BitDefender, go to the backup tab, and click Start Backup Wizard? Does that open-up anything?

Hi, thank you for the reply. I am not sure why, but now it seems to be working, the backup wizard didn't work a few days back but now it does, may be an update solved the problem I was having?

Thank you,
