During automatic updates with BD Antivirus 2008, I intermittently receive the following errors in Event Viewer - System folder:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7011
Date: 9/13/2007
Time: 6:47:55 AM
User: N/A
Computer: WARREN-7RZ2A5ED
Description:
Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the LIVESRV service.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

BD shows the updates as successful despite the two above registered error messages.
Any suggestions as to how to eliminate these errors would be appreciated.

Hello Warren

That happens when your system is on low resources which means that the memory is full or the service needs more memory to operate again. But there is a time limit and when that is exceeded windows will report as an error.

Best regards

As always, thanks for the information. This would certainly explain why the errors register only on an intermittent basis. Since the updates show as successful in the BD History module, I guess this is really nothing to worry about.

Hi Niels,

I've been talking to you about this on another thread. I have the exact same problem + no way to update then as the "update" section is greyed out.
See here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...amp;#entry11162

Plus, My computer at that time has no memory problem, I'm sure of it....
thanks.

Hello Warren

You don't have to worry about it so long that the updates are shown as succeed in the BitDefender history module.
Glad that I could helped you again.

Best regards
Niels
