Full Version: Bitdefender Antivirus V10 & Windows Live Hotmail

I am having a problem with my Windows Live Hotmail. When I login I can get the Inbox to list the emails that are there. When I select one of the emails Internet Explorer indicates it cannot "display the webpage".

If I stop the BitDefender Virus Shield service (VSSERV) and restart it the hotmail works correctly.

If Internet Explorer is exited/restarted I must also stop and restart the VSSERV service again for hotmail to work.

Using Firefox 2.0 exhibits this same behavior.

Disabling BitDender via its GUI does not have any effect on this problem.

No other software problems or strange behaviors have been noted.

I am using BitDefender AntiVirus v10 and Windows XP-SP2

Any idea what can be done?

Try to uncheck HTTP scanning in BitDefender. See how you go.

Tried that, does not have any affect on this.
