Hi,

I'm running BitDefender AV 2008 Build 11.0.11 on Windows XP.

When I perform a "Deep System Scan" the program never completes the rootkit scan part. I left it running for 10 hours a couple times with no change. The UI is still active but the numbers don't change. The part before the rootkit scan completes in about 2 hours.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.
Niels
Hello tols

What was the latest file or folder where BitDefender got stuck? You can exclude the folder in the meantime by rightclicking on the deep scan task choose change scan target now choose add folder or add file browse to that folder or file after that uncheck it and confirm by pressing on ok.

Best regards

Thanks for the reply Niels. Sorry for my late response.

I can't tell where it got stuck from the DeepScan UI and the log does not say either.

Thanks

Hello tols

Normally you will see it at the scan screen. BitDefender always display the latest file, folder it has scanned. So when you perform another scan take a look.
