I was a BD Internet Security v10 user, and just upgraded to BD Internet Security 2008.

After the installation, everything is fine, except ------ I cannot update.

I connect to the internet using a proxy server, I have checked the "use proxy" box, and set the proxy server correctly.

Both update locastions are "http://upgrade.bitdefender.com/"

But I keep getting the message :

"Update error: An error occured during update (Invalid Server). If the problem..................."


(I am posting here hoping to get some quick solutions )

Change the update server to : http://update.bitdefender.com
That should work.
upgrade.bitdefender.com and backup servers are used for the earlier versions of BitDefender.

But it didn't work.

The livesrv.log file says:

Try to enter your proxy settings again by first unchecking proxy settings. If that doesn't help put in your installation cd-rom go to start,programs,Softwin,BitDefender Internet Security 2008,repair. Or if you have the download version double click on the installer.

I uninstalled the program, deleted the old install file and downloaded a new one from the website.

After installation, it works! XD
