Here's the situation:

My computers are always on day and night. At night BD TS 2009 performs a scan and shows the results of that in a window. The next morning I close that window and later that day BD performs its daily update. If I DON'T close the scan results window, BD cannot perform the update and it gives me a warning. I have to first close the scan results window, after which I can update fine by clicking FIX.

But here's my problem: I have an unattended fileserver also running day and night. Each day I have to log in just to close that window so it can update. Ofcourse, BD should be able to update even when the window is not closed.

My suggestion: showing the results window should be made optional. For instance, only show it when there is an issue.

Actually you still can update while the result windows is not closed yet.

Here's how :
Go to advance setting in update tab,uncheck the "don't update if scan is in progress"
