Every time I boot up (into WinXP SP3), my BitDefender Antivirus (part of BD Internet Security 2008) displays the message "BitDefender Antivirus has been turned off. Click here to fix this problem." However seconds later, it reactivates on it's own. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Well, I think bd is installing updates it has just downloaded. This is probably a good thing? It probably needs to shut down and restart.

It's a good suggestion, but I doubt that's the cause.
If I reboot my computer 5 times in row, it'll do that each time.
I can't see there being that many updates.
