I'm running Vista Home Premium SP1.
After I complete a System Restore in Windows, BitDefender AntiVirus 2009 announces that it has encountered an error with a file in C:\Windows\Temp and can't run. The BitDefender icon in the Notification Area becomes grey. It's impossible to do an update, because Windows Security announces that it doesn't trust the program.
Other people are reporting on the internet that they are encountering the same problem. It seems that BitDefender 2009 is not capable of working after a Vista System Restore.
My solution for running System Restore is:
Uninstall BitDefender
Run the System Restore
Reinstall BitDefender
If anyone has found a different solution I'd like to know, but to me, this looks like a programming error.
