I have buy a BitDefender 2009 license to day, but I'm unable to install this software on my laptop (OS: Vista Ultimate SP1). I have tried to download and install many times but always got the following error:
QUOTE
The file "reginfo.ui" cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'bdprof.caf.AE3C3951_7A91_4185_B6E7_BA9F78BFE365'. This could indicate a network erros, an erros reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package

Please note that I have a new device and clear OS, so I think that the problem is came from BitDefender 2009.
I have searched but not found any solutions to resolve this issue.
Any one please help me.
Thanks and Regards

Well, reading this forum, that seems to be the case for a lot of paying customers of bitdefender.

A lot of customers, including myself, have paid good money to use bitdefender.

But no response comes from bitdefender in helping these paying customers.

Its a complete waste of money.

Here is a link : http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...virus/final/en/
BD has customer service and i hardly belive they werent able to give you a link towards the kit.
What can be so hard to ask for a kit link intead of useless flameing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
When something you download is geting corrupted, first thing you should do is searching for another kit link towards another mirror .Do some testing for your networking conection, thank God there are a lot of free services so you can check packet corruption or whatever conection problems.Check your router, firewall ,cable switch or ISP before swearing on a public forum. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

meniisoc, stop flameing/spamming or whatever.I hope NA ok is not another BD account of yours.

NA ok ,is your Vista genuine?
That problem may be also caused by Windows Installer so check/repair that too.

Where are you located NA ok?

HI.
Yes, I'm using Vista Ultimate with SP1 genuine . I have new and cleared Vista, so no problem with Windows Installer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I asked for your location to see if the problem may be related to connection problems with the download site. That package may get corrupted on the "pipe".I strongly advisee you to check if you use the correct MTU size. Here is a usefull link http://www.dslreports.com/faq/5793 .Another way to clear the problem would be to find a BD genuine disk for a installation kit.
I asked for the genuine Vista because the cracked version is known to have TCP/IP stack problems.Use only genuine OS to avoid problems with your computer and the law.
