Before I go uninstalling Total Security and installing just the Anti-virus with a 3rd party firewall, will my license key for BD TS work with BD Anti-virus? Is it backwards-compatible in this way?
Thanks muchly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I went ahead and tried my key with BD Anti-Virus 2009, and it wasn't accepted. Is there a way for my key to be downgraded or do I just have to use Total Security with the firewall disabled?
Cheers. |

If you need to disable the exe's controlling the BD firewall, you can place them on the disabled startup list of WinPatrol for the moment, if you have that installed (www.winpatrol.com). But BD sales should be the people answering this question. Dave |

But BD sales should be the people answering this question. There are no special exe's for BD Firewall. @Paddy: the only thing you can try is to contact Live Assistance (Customer Service), and ask them if it's possible. There isn't any other way, except using BTS with disabled modules. Cris. |

Thanks guys, I contacted the chat help thingie, and they forwarded my problem on to customer services, who in turn emailed me to say that I'd have to buy a new key if I want to use a different product. Looks like I'll just have to disable the firewall in Total Security, and uninstall the network card driver.
Oh well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
