I'm considering upgrading from BDIS 2008 to BDIS 2009 and have the following questions:

1. Does BDIS 2009 consume less system resouces than BDIS 2008?

2. What is the prefered way to upgrade? - Install 2009 over 2008 or remove 2008 before installing 2009.

3. Can I preserve all of my exising settings? - if so, how?

Thanks for any feedback.

1. Yes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

2. Download BD 2009 from here http://www.bitdefender.com/site/Downloads/ and the uninstall tool from here: http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall
Unplug your network cable and use the tool to uninstall BD 2008. Restart. Install BD 2009. Restart. Plu-in your network cable. Update BD 2009.

3. No. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
