I have had BDTS2009 installed for about 5 days now and overall it is working well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
But today I encountered something weird. I also use Super Anti-spyware and when BD was installed, I updated SAS and of course, set a rule alowing it to connect to the SAS update server. Up until this morning this had worked fine... SAS had connected and downloaded updates with no problems. But today, when I got SAS to connect for its updates, I got a pop-up from BD asking me if I wanted to let it connect, make a rule etc. I thought this was quite odd as a rule had already been previously set. It hit 'Allow' on the BD pop up and SAS connected and d/l its updates. I then went into the Firewall rules tab and saw that SAS now had two identical rules. I then deleted one and as soon as I did this, ALL the other rules that had been previously set for other applications disappeared. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) I looked at blank rules tab for a minute and then rebooted the machine. After the reboot I went back into the rules tab and all the rules had returned including the duplicated SAS rule. I then deleted the dupe rule and this time it worked. The other rules remained in place. So, no major issue here... this 'bug' is detailed here for info only. Cheers |
