I have Bit Defender Total Security 2008 and it's been working very well for me for a while now, but just today, when I went to open Outlook Express, I got an error message telling me that bdoe.dll Link Library could not be accessed. I filled out the bug report, but there has not been a response yet.

Is there a way to fix this problem short of disabling BD every time? (I want that spam-protection (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) )

BD 2008 Has Serious Issues With Outlook Express.Disable Antiphishing From BD & Open Outlook Express To See That Problem Is Solved Or Not.If Not Disable BD Setting In Outlook Express & Check Again.Log Off & Again Log On.If Solved Reenable It. This Should Solve Your Problem.

Sorry, but how do I disable anti-phishing? When I open BitDefender and go to setting, the only options are anti-virus, firewall, anti-spam, privacy control, parental control and update. I even tried disabling anti-spam, which is one of the reasons we got Total Security, but it still doesn't work.

Hi,

I have just spotted (on another forum) the answer to this because it's been annoying me for some time too. I could never use Windows Mail and Outlook Express on the same day.
Windows Mail doesn't seem to allow you to save messages like O/E does.

What you do is boot up into SAFE MODE (press F8 as it starts)
then go to the Bit Defender Directory, find the bdoe.dll file and rename it to bdoe.dl_

Restart your PC and it should work.

It just did for me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Today I was able to fwd mail from Win/Mail to O/Express with no problem whatsoever.
