BitDefender Internet Security 2008 / Windows XP Pro

Problem: after a scan, product reports no threats found beyond encrypted items found.
I would like to identify the encrypted items location, but when I hit the show log button (part of "step 3 of 3", literally nothing happens - no log pops up.

Any idea what's happening?

Thanks,
Chuck

Hello ChuckL,

Start BitDefender by right clicking on the red BitDefender icon near the system tray press on show. After that press on history. Go to the antivirus section click on entry that says scan completed. Press on scan history (logbook).

Best regards
Niels

Interesting - I did all those things (good clear directions, BTW, and thanks for the response!), and I get two tables, both completely empty.

Which is certainly not the case, as every other day it does a scan, and reports no problems except a number of encrypted files, etc. (Which is where I get the empty log).

I can always reinstall, and see if that helps, just wondering if it was anything obvious.

Hello ChuckL,

See if the log isn't stored here go to start,my computer, program files,BitDefender 2008,logs

Did you let the scan finishes normally? If you close the scan window before stopping the scanner nothing will be logged.

Best regards
Niels
