Hi, I cant seem to post a new topic. My issue is, I have just installed Total security 2008 on xp pro sp2 x64. When I open any of bitdefenders windows, I am unable to see or access the ‘ok’, ‘next’ etc buttons on the bottom of BD windows. They seem to be below my start toolbar and I cant move the window any higher. If I autohide toolbar all is accessible. Can you please provide any suggestions?
Thnx 4 ur time. |

Hello
I am running Total Security 2008 on Vista x64 Ultimate with SP1. I also get the inaccessible buttons with Bitdefender windows. I cannot maximize the windows and it seems that Tab or ALT+keys don't advance the pages. I have tried to run the following: regsvr32 "D:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2008\bdguictl.dll" When I do so, I get a message saying: "The module "D:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2008\bdguictl.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found. Make sure that "D:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2008\bdguictl.dll" is a vailid DLL or OCX file and then try again." Yes, this is the correct path to the file on my hard drive, otherwise I would not get the message telling me about the file's validity. I did some research and tried to use .NET Framework's regasm.exe, both the Framework and Framework64 versions (from v2.0.50727). Both tell me that bdguictl.dll is not a "valid .NET assembly" I already had the current version of .NET 3.5, and I downloaded it and installed it again. Rebooted and still have the same display issues with Bitdefender. Anybody have a clue on this one? Since I can't Fix scan items or run any of the tools in the program, it is next to useless for me. Thanks in advance. |

Hello alstonloong,
Are you using the default vista fonts? If not try this right click on a free space on your desktop and choose screen (monitor),Window Color and Appareance, open classic appearance properties for more colour options, click on effects, see if use the following method ... select cleartype and press on ok. Check this also. Best regards Niels |
