Hey, i was wondering how do i open port TCP 9338? I been playing Battlestar Galactica Online but usually in game chat does not work at all, and I was told on there forums that opening this port would help but I have no clue whatsoever on how to go about doing that, since ive never had to manually open a port before and was wondering how to do that with Bitdefenders firewall. I recently went from using Bitdefender Internet Security 2012 and upgraded to 2013 an hoped that would help but sadly in game chat still rarely works. Any help would be appreciated in being able to open/make sure this port is open so that I can get chat working as soon as possible, kinda ###### playing an MMO and you cant chat with other players! Ty in advance!

Anyone?... How can I make Bitdefender Internet Security 2012-2013 (recently updated to 13) trust Battlestar Galactica Online fully so that the in game chat isnt being blocked? Since its a browser MMO i have no clue how to make the firewall trust it.

Hi Elite (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

This can tend to be a tough question w/o Christian's help. I can direct you to a couple of links that tell how to allow traffic rules for the firewall.

http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=34086 If it's a specific port, this is where Christian can eventually help you via Notepad?

Step 4 in this link can help make sure all traffic is allowed. http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=30243 Even though this is for the 2012 version, I don't think to much has changed as far as the 2013 version (I'm answering from a 2013 AV+ PC)

Sorry if this isn't much help but.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Hello (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I am not familiar with Battlestar Galactica Online, does this game downloads some files locally?

If so, you can create exclusions and rules for each one of them like in this topic:

Have a great weekend!
