Hi Christian, or whomever can help,

I've had a couple of days where my Bitdefender has crashed and asked me to send in an email report.

Today, after the daily system scan it says I am infected with Gen:Variant.Krazy.70630 of which I can neither, delete nor quarantine. I have searched your site and have generated a report using your program and would like the go ahead to send it so I can get my computer rectified ASAP.

It claims the infected item is: TiT_4_MLB_2k10.exe (This is the Total Installer Thingy for MLB 2k10-12, a baseball program editor I and many other MLB 2k12 people use).

Thanks in advance!

PS. I just used the Bitdefender Online Scan and it claims my PC is virus free).

Thanks again.

Hello (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Welcome to the forums.

In order to be able to assist you please run a Full System Scan task with Bitdefender and send us the resulting scan report.

[how to GENERATE A FULL SYSTEM SCAN LOG]
- Before running the scan please make sure that you have the latest virus definitions downloaded via the Update module.
For this you need to open Bitdefender and from the main interface click on Update now;

- After the update process has completed successfully you can proceed to
running the scan task.
In the same window go to Antivirus and press the Scan now button =>Full system scan.
- After the scan has finished you need to submit the scan log file.

This is accomplished by running the Support tool file that can be
downloaded from this location:

http://www.bitdefender.com/files/Knowledge...or_scanlogs.exe

Save the file prior to running it and to continue you need to accept the terms of use.
At the end of this process an archive will be created on your Desktop starting with bdamst.

Upload it on

http://www.sendspace.com

or

http://www.mediafire.com

and post here the download link.

We will analyze the information you sent and then reply with a possible solution in the shortest time.

Have a nice day.

I'd also like to add, that despite getting a clean bill of health using the Bitdefender online scan, my Bitdefender program continues to crash daily since this "infection."

I am, nearly continuously, getting "BITDEFENDER SERVICES NOT RESPONDING" messages (vsserv.exe unavailable).

I have been with Bitdefender since 2008 and I have to say I'm so very close to NEVER buying another Bitdefender license again. Forgive my frustration.

Hello (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Welcome back!

I can see that you are using an older version of Bitdefender.

You can upgrade for Free to the latest one:

http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?act...f=196&id=42

After that, rerun a Full System Scan by following the steps from my last post:

http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...st&p=143742

Post here the download link.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi Christian,

Here is the file you have requested: http://www.sendspace.com/file/10dmep

I have updated to the Bitdefender 2012 as you have suggested and it seems to be running stable, which I do not understand why my Bitdefender 2010 with current definitions did not. Any ideas?

I truly and sincerely appreciate your help throughout this ordeal.

Thank you.

Hello (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Welcome back!

Could you please post here an official download link for TiT_4_MLB_2k10.exe?

I want to send it to our labs. My colleagues will check for a possible false positive.

Take care.

Christian, I want to very sincerely thank you for your superb customer support. I am very happy with the service I received and from you especially.

I ran a full scan this early morning and it said I had some new files that were infected with Gen:variant.kazy.70624 . Should I believe they are false positives on those files, too, or should I put them up here to be examined?

2nd, do you have any idea what when so wrong with my BitDefender 2010 with it crashing over all of a sudden at the same time?

Thank you!

Hi (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Please send us the files so we can check them. Pack all the files in an archive with the password infected and upload them on www.mediafire.com or www.sendspace.com (or any other file server) and put here the download links.

If you have an official download link, put that here.

I can not provide you an answer regarding Bitdefender 2010 without any logs. I recommend you to upgrade all your PCs to Bitdefender 2012, you have the details in his post:

http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?sho...st&p=143785

Take care.
