I'm running Bitdefender AntiVirus 2008 on vista business 64, I seem to have an application (rocketdock.exe) that cannot be added to the list of programs to permit. Bitdefender just eventually times out.

If I disable registry control that application has no problems at all.

Please advise on way of manually adding a application to the list,

thanks!

You mean how can a program be added at startup list in registry?

Open your your registry editor (START -> Run -> regedit <enter> or click on OK), and browse to either of the following locations:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run - for all users on the machine
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run - for the currently logged on user. Right click on a blank area on the right side of the window, select New -> String value, give it a name and then double click on it, and paste the name of the program (full path) to be executed on windows startup.

Cheers!

That's not really what I meant. If a program makes a change to the registry bitdefender registry control will stop it and wait for you to permit/deny it's change made. Everytime you edit anything in the program (RocketDock) it makes a change to the registry.

However, when bitdefender blocks this the whole system hangs until bitdefender gives up. You cannot click permit or deny, it just soft denies it based on no input from client.

Is there a way to manually specify a executable for bitdefender registry control to have it excluded from registry control.
