Hi,

I bought BD Antivirus Plus 2012 recently. The package shows to be manufactured in India from registered partner "R.S.COMPUTER ENTERPRISES PVT LTD".

They are providing 21-digit license key with the package. I tried entering the license key while installing but to no avail, as the installer doesn't take more than 20 characters. I also tried adding the key using the online portal (I have several other licenses), but that doesn't work too. Can someone help?

I couldn't find anywhere else to post this. If this violates any rule of this forum, please send me a mail after deleting this.

Thanks George, for the clarification. I don't understand how 3 PC 1 Year license numbers goes into a box of 1 PC 3 Year.

I'm unable to install the product, instead, receiving invalid license key error. I have tried it in two separate systems, all the license keys one by one.

Please follow the steps from below in order to solve this issue:

1. Use our uninstall tool in order to uninstall/delete any previous BitDefender related files:

Access the link and when the window with the BitDefender file appears, please choose the "Save to disk" option. Save the tool on the PC, run it(right click and select "Run as administrator" - for Windows Vista/7) and restart the computer when prompted.

3. Download and install the software and then run it to clean your computer's registry:

Once the cleaning is complete it's recommended to restart your computer.

4. Install BitDefender using the latest installation kit available for download. Please note that you need to download (save) the installation kit prior to running it.

Hi George,

Christian's post helped me to install the product successfully. Since, you pointed out that there are 3 different product keys (3 PC, 1 Year), I'm wondering how to install all the 3 keys in 1 PC to avail the 3 YR total validity?

When asked to "Govind (RS) - the vendor from India" from this post list, he asked me to enter the 3 keys one after another. I didn't find such option. When I tried to do that, the keys got replaced each time, and the last key entered is visible with its validity.

Can you help me in this case?

Thanks George for the clarification. I contacted the customer care of that distributor for further information. He tried to do something remotely, but that didn't work. Later, he told me, he would contact tomorrow. No idea, where this is going!

He's still insisting that a 3 PC 1 Year product can be converted to a 1 PC 3 Year! Got a very bad experience from this distributor, selling a different product by putting something else over the box label. Anyway, BD still rocks. I'm looking to lodge a complaint with the seller.

Thanks George, you really made my day. Thanks a lot to Christian too, for a complete guidance to install/uninstall a BD product. Truly speaking, I didn't expect so much. All my doubts are now cleared and the products are running smoothly. Another reason to instill confidence to my friends for buying BD products.
