Greetings
In the process of testing Bitdefender SVE (trial license) on a VMware cluster. - two ESXi 5.0 Update 1 hosts; SVAs deployed on both. - vCenter vCenter 5.0 Update 1 - vShield Endpoint 5.0.1 - (Vmware View 5.0.1) SC is a VM on one host; vShield App is also installed but no rules are active and SC was excluded from its protection. Installation was successful and one virtual desktop is protected(eicar test was blocked). All seem fine except the update process which floods the security logs with errors (every 5 minutes); the SVAs complain about update issues: "Message: "failed to check for updates on server 'sc-ip-address:7074': - 1018 the requested data was not found on the update server (HTTP error 404)" SSH-in into the security console and checked Internet connectivity; this is OK. According to the support logs on it: ERROR: "failed to check for updates on server 'download.bitdefender.com/repos': - 1018 the requested data was not found on the update server (HTTP error 404)" ERROR: ""failed to check for updates on location 'linux-gcc4x-x86_64-common-320'. It will be reprocessed in approximately 5 minutes" The default update policy is in place. Installed it in my lab away from customer's location (and different place in the world).
Same thing happened. Captured the traffic between SC and your servers, between SC and SVA and rather looks to me the issue is on your servers (not familiar though with all it asks for download).
