Hi there,

I have deployed Business Client from the server couple of times. However, on the client machine, Bit Defender icon is black, and shows "Your Bit Defender License has expired".

The server says "Registered - Days Left: 240"

Also, the last time I deployed, I got an notice saying "... encountered installation error: The service cannot accept control messages at this time"

And I am at loss on what is happening.

Can anybody advise me what I am doing wrong, or what I need to do?

Hello,

Please send an update policy from the Bitdefender Management Console to the workstations with the antivirus expired and tell me if the issue is still present.

I await your feedback.

Hi Andrei,

I just noticed that the work station was listed under "Unmanaged" computer. I tried deploying it directly, and with Deployment Tool. It deployed the Management Agent successfully, but it is still showing grey and "License Expired" on the client machine, and I still do not see it under "Managed" computer.

-is Bitdefender Agent set on START in services.msc on client computers?
-is Bitdefender Business Client installed on all client computers?
-do you have free license to register the client computers(you can verify in the Bitdefender Console - Tools - Registration)

Also provide me the results for the following cmd commands from client machine to server
-ping ip server
-telnet ip server 7072

Have you tried to send the update policy ?how many client receives it(verify from the Bitdefender Console - Current Policies)
I await your post.

Andrei,

Thank for your response.

- Yes, Bit Defender Agent has STARTed in Services.
- Yes, Business Client has been installed on all Clients.
- Yes, we have used just 80/100 licenses.

It used to work perfectly when deployed earlier, however this is the first time I see this issue.

Just for your Info, under deployment process, I have quite a few clients with "Preparing to Start..." status. It has stayed that way for a pretty long time.

Probably the Agent cannot communicate with the Management Server

Please provide me the results for the following cmd commands from client machine to server
-ping ip server
-telnet ip server 7072

Have you tried to send the update policy ?how many client receives it(verify from the Bitdefender Console - Current Policies)

Hi Andrei,

I checked the update policy. Only 74/96 receive it. Also, there is a block of clients which have following info:

"BitDefender Business Client is not installed on the client machine or the integration component is not installed; waiting for the Agent to start the installation
Last synchronization at 2011-12-19 10:27:04 "

I can ping the server from the client machine.

Andrei,

Yes, the 74 clients have client registered.

Telnet IP 7072 does not do anything, just stays there.

Ok , for Telnet if the result is a blank screen, that is ok.
So the issue is solved for 74 clients that Bitdefender Business Client is now working.
What about the other 22 workstations ? Are they turned off or no longer present in your network?

For the computers with the message above verify the following:
-Bitdefender Agent Started
-Bitdefender Business Client is installed on the machine.
