If I reinstall the software, it works fine. However, it segfaults after I update it.

Fedora 16 - Linux 3.1.5-1.fc16.x86_64

==================================================

Deleting - "/opt/BitDefender-scanner/var/lib/scan/bdcore.so"

and then running below command resolved the issue.

"cat /opt/BitDefender-scanner/var/lib/scan/versions.dat.* |awk '/bdcore.so.linux/{print $3}'|while read bdcore_so;do touch /opt/BitDefender-scanner/var/lib/scan/$bdcore_so;bdscan --update;ln -s /opt/BitDefender-scanner/var/lib/scan/$bdcore_so /opt/BitDefender-scanner/var/lib/scan/bdcore.so;done "

I had some issues with BitDefender as well. I think this was because I installed it the wrong way. I downloaded and installed it from the website. I wasn't able to uninstall old remnants because of dependency issues. I'd only reinstalled the os a few days before, so I blew it away and started fresh.

I remembered at some point there was a repo located here:

http://download.bitdefender.com/repos/#

I installed the repo, then used yum to install bitdefender. Worked perfectly, no issues.
