Hi and welcome to our forums.
Sorry for delaying our answer. As the new Bitdefender 2012 product suite was released, we would like to inform you that you benefit from a FREE upgrade to the latest version. Apart from the fact that the 2012 suite brings lots of new features and improvements, it will most likely solve any issues that you may have encountered with your previous Bitdefender product. In order to upgrade to the new version, please follow the steps below: 1. Use our uninstall tool in order to uninstall/delete any previous BitDefender related files: http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall Access the link and when the window with the BitDefender file appears, please choose the "Save to disk" option. Save the tool on the PC, run it and restart the computer when prompted. 2. Install BitDefender using the latest installation kit available for download. Please note that you need to download (save) the installation kit prior to running it. The BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2012 installation kit can be downloaded from here: http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...r_antivirus.exe The BitDefender Internet Security 2012 installation kit can be downloaded from here: http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...r_isecurity.exe The BitDefender Total Security 2012 installation kit can be downloaded from here: http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/in...r_tsecurity.exe The installer will automatically retrieve your license key so you will not need to enter it again during the setup. Hi (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
In order to be able to properly identify the causes for the reported situation and find a solution we will need to investigate a bit deeper. Please follow the steps below and send us the result: a ) Go to this page http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb963902.aspx and download the autoruns file. b ) Extract the contents of the downloaded file and run the 'autoruns.exe' file; c ) Wait for the list to be filled with all the processes and then make sure that you have the Everything tab selected in the upper part; d ) Click on the Disk icon right under File and chose any location folder on your computer; e ) Save the file with a specific name (your name, computer name, a random name, which one you want) and then send me a PM with it. If the file is too big to attach it, upload it on http://www.sendspace.com or http://www.mediafire.com and send me a PM with the download link. We will analyze the information you sent and then reply with a possible solution in the shortest time. Have a nice day. |

Hi BorderCollie (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Have you upgraded to Bitdefender 2012? Is so, please right click on BitDefender icon from system tray(the "B" icon) and choose "Show". In the main window, click on "Settings". From the advanced interface, click on Antivirus module and select the Shield tab. Please disable Active virus control and reboot your PC. Let me know if you still receive BSOD. Thank you. |

I followed the solution above but still have the same problem. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/angry.gif) |
